Running a Photography Business

One of my favorite tasks, running a photography business is writing this blog (as you can see). I write quite a lot because I know there are so many of you out there who benefit. Yet, I am not sure that I have ever thanked any of you enough for your readership or support.

As an artist, knowing there are people who appreciate my work enough to visit my blog and read about what I am doing is beyond satisfying. Photographers are in the business of capturing ‘moments’ most others cannot. It is the greatest compliment to have so many of you coming back to me time and time again.

I also enjoy receiving your emails. Filled with compliments and excitement, I always respond to these with a special priority. Thank you for these, I have enjoyed and kept them for my own keepsake.

Someone asked me the other day if I would be willing to photograph their newborn in their home. They wanted to place their baby on a chair that has been in their family for 5 generations! I was so chuffed to be asked. This is a session I will definitely look forward to.

It’s not easy running a photography business, I admit. Readers are the life-blood of a blog (not to sound too cliché). With your input and inspiring messages I can more easily select topics that will help you make good photographic decisions, whether I turn out to be your family or event photographer or not.

Lifestyle portraits are so important because they carry in them so much emotion and are the only way we have to recall how things once were with such breadth and detail. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much for being a part my life in this regard.

As always, please continue to send your messages with your suggestions, or even just to say ‘hello’.

I always love hearing from you so thank you, again.
